The Tourism Sector continues to play a strategic role in the country's development and is identified as one of the five key sectors that contribute to the country's economic diversification, employment and growth. Despite the challenges, the sector has recorded several significant achievements through strong leadership and continued collaboration between government agencies, industry stakeholders, communities and partners. To appreciate this collective achievement, the Ministry of Primary Resources and Tourism, recently organised the Brunei Tourism Industry Awards and Appreciation Night 2025. The ceremony took place at Tarindak D'Seni, Bandar Seri Begawan.
The award presentation was officiated by Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Doctor Awang Haji Abdul Manaf bin Haji Metussin, Minister of Primary Resources and Tourism. A total of 37 awards were presented in recognition of excellence and contributions to the country's tourism ecosystem. These included six ASEAN Tourism Standards Awards, in recognition of compliance and achievement of regional tourism standards. The ceremony aimed to inspire continued collaboration and innovation among tourism stakeholders, as well as strengthen mutual commitment to the long-term growth and sustainability of the country's tourism industry.
